Planning a romantic Valentine’s dinner? Set the scene with these light and refreshing Asian-style, heart-healthy canapés. Serves 2
Mix together 1 tbsp fresh lime juice, 1 tbsp soy sauce, a pinch of salt and pepper, and 1tbsp olive oil. Add 75g tuna steak and marinate in the fridge for an hour.
Heat a frying pan until medium hot. Remove the tuna from the marinade and cook it for 2-3 mins on each side. Place on a chopping board to cool.
In a clean frying pan, lightly toast a slice of wholegrain bread on both sides. Brush one side of the toast with one beaten egg yolk then scatter over 2tsp sesame seeds. Place the toast sesame side down in the pan and cook for 1 min until golden and crisp.
To serve, cut the tuna into small chunks and the toast into squares. Thread each tuna chunk onto a skewer with a wedge of lime and some chives and insert into a piece of toast.
