From 15 November-14 January, Somerset House in London is turning into a winter wonderland with an open-air ice rink. With regular skating sessions, lessons and special events accompanied by well-known DJs, you can skate to the beat and get fit while embracing the cold. Ice-skating is a fantastic workout for your core and legs, and is brilliant at toning your bum. Tickets start from £7.50 (somersethouse.org.uk/skate)
If you can’t make it to Somerset House, now is still the perfect time to try skating as many towns and cities have pop-up rinks. Check out your local council website or social media sites for details.
